Tommye Peggy Anthony

Mrs. Tommye Jo “Peggy” Anthony, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Sisters Baptist Church in Sandersville, GA with Reverend David Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington, GA. Pallbearers will be Timothy May, Jeremy Moore, Paul Wasson, R.T. Hall, Anthony Hall, Mack May, Mills May, Micah May, and Matthew Moore. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.

Peggy was the daughter of the late Bill and Minnie Haralson of Social Circle, GA and was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Leon Anothony, Jr.; brothers, Billy and Hugh Haralson; sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Jones and Mrs. Sarah Studdard.

Peggy is survived by her son and daughter in law, Tony and Kathy Anthony of Sandersville; granddaughters Erin (Paul) Wasson of Sandersville, Stephanie (Timothy) May of Tennille, and Kristen (Jeremy) Moore of Tifton; 12 great grandchildren, R.T. (Madsion) Hall, Anthony Hall, Emily Wasson, Maddy Grace May, Mack May, McKenna Kate May, Mills May, Micah May, Mollie Moore, Mallory Moore, Meredith Moore, Matthew Moore; and one great-great grandson Clay Hall.
