Mr. Tony Green Brantley, age 46, of Davisboro, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 18 th at 2:00 p.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Davisboro City Cemetery. Reverend Fred Garrett and Reverend Ron Dixon will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Lanthrip, Bobby Brantley Jr., Christopher Mullis, Aaron Mullis, Jesse Mullis and Vinson Fordham.
Tony was born in Baldwin County. He spent his working career as a truck driver. He was a member of Davisboro United Methodist Church and loved hunting, fishing and all kinds of sports. Tony is preceded in death by his sister, Tangee Marie Brantley and his nephew, Brian Brantley Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Brooks Brantley of Davisboro; stepchildren, Kendra Cobb Lanthrip of Davisboro and Aaron P. Prince of Rentz; step grandchildren, Cassi Jackson Rogers and her husband Mack and Cole Lanthrip; great step granddaughter, Thalia Rogers; parents, Willi Ray and Ruby Godfrey Brantley of Davisboro; and siblings, Bobby Brantley Sr. and his wife Sherry of Sandersville, Serena B. Mullis and her husband Scott of Bartow and Brian Brantley of Davisboro.
The family will be at the residence of Marie Brantley on Cemetery Drive in Davisboro and they will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
