Tony Bussell

Mr. Tony Bussell, age 60 of Riddleville, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 at his residence, after an extended illness. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Kendall Heights Church of God in Sandersville, with Reverend Bobby Williford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Bussell, Thomas Reynolds, Timothy Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, Mike Rogers, and Mack Rogers. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Tony was born in Homestead, Florida, the son of the late Robert Luther Bussell and the late Mary Evelyn Hanie Bussell. He was retired from Georgia Department of Transportation, as the System Administrator for Information Technology for District Two. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in his garden, and tending the chickens. Tony was a people person and always enjoyed having a good conversation, especially if the topic revolved around theology or politics. Apart from his love of Jesus, his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved to ride around on the lawnmower. Tony was a faithful member of Kendall Heights Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Bussell Davis.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Elaine Thompson Bussell; sons, Jospeh Bussell of Milledgeville, Thomas Reynolds and his wife Laura of Grovetown, Timothy Reynolds and his wife Sara of Sandersville, and Tyler Reynolds and his wife Payton of Eatonton; grandchildren, Abby Bussell, Mason Bussell, Elliot Reynolds, Ella Grace Reynolds, Emmitt Reynolds, and Hollie Reynolds; brother, Steve Bussell and his wife Belinda of Tennille; and several nieces.
