Mrs. Tracy Bussell Wood, age 42, of 116 Peach Farm Road in Davisboro died Friday morning, January 6th, in the Coliseum Hospital in Macon. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9th, at 2:00pm in the Kaolin Church of God in Sandersville. Rev. Quint Shepherd and Rev. Lamar Brantley will officiate with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Pallbearers will be Bobby Williford, Danny Thomas, Nathan Riner, Eddie Bunch, William Alligood and Randall Frazier.
Mrs. Wood was a native of Naples Florida but had lived in Washington County for a number of years. She was a homemaker and the founder of the United Women’s Restoration Ministry. She was formerly employed with Woodman of the World and Humana. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Kaolin Church of God and the Washington County Exchange Club.
Survivors are her husband, Shawn Wood of Davisboro, her children, Bridgett D. Lacoste and her husband Tobby of Tennille, Monica Brook Davis and Suzanne Wood both of Davisboro, a grandson, Isaiah Lacoste, her mother, Mary H. Bussell of Davisboro, her father, Robert Bussell and his wife, Jeanette of Harrison, two brothers, Tony Bussell and his wife Elaine of Riddleville and Steve Bussell and his wife Kimberly of Harrison.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday.
