Travis Roger Veal, age 46, died Friday, January 19, 2018 at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, January 22 nd at 2:00 p.m. at Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. Reverend Curt Poole will officiate.
Travis was born in Laurens County and was a lifelong resident on his family’s farm on New Buckeye Road. He was a graduate of Brentwood School and worked for Washington County Machine Shop as a Crane operator as well as managing the company’s Crane department. Travis also enjoyed raising cattle and was an avid outdoorsman, spending much time hunting and fishing. Above all he was a family man and adored his nephews in which he loved to spoil. He is predeceased by his sister, Tessa Daniel Veal.
Survivors are; his parents, Tony Roger Veal and Jean Bray Veal of Tennille; sister, Natasha Veal Helton and her husband Billy of Warthen; nephews, Chris and Will Helton and numerous extended family members.
The family will be at the Veal residence on New Buckeye Road and they will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
