Verma Reese Deitrich

Mrs. Verma Reese Deitrich, age 76, of Wrightsville, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at 11:00am at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. Rev. William Youmans will officiate. Pallbearers will be Winifred Reese, Michael Wear, Frank Wear, Tim Deitrich, Donald Miller and Andrew Mathis.

Mrs. Deitrich was a native of Wrightsville the daughter of the late Elmer Clarence Reese and the late Bessie Mae Foster Reese. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Deitrich was a former resident of Atlanta and Abingdon Virginia. She was a member of the Green Spring Presbyterian Church in Abingdon. She is predeceased by one brother, Richard Reese.

Mrs. Deitrich is survived by her husband Richard E. Deitrich of Wrightsville; children, L. Frank Wear of Kennesaw, Donna A. Mathis of Riverdale, Vicki E. Alexander of Flowery Branch, K. Michael Wear of Hurt VA., Dianne Miller of Lilburn and Timothy Deitrich of Milton; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Geneva Reardon of Osprey, FL., Dorothy Rucker of Fayetteville, Mildred Wallace Smith of Wrightsville, Winifred Reese of Wrightsville, Wade Reese of Biloxi, Ms. Joyce Green of Covington and Doyce Lumley of Wrightsville.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6pm to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home on Riddleville Road in Sandersville.
