Vernon Edsel Crapps

Mr. Vernon Edsel Crapps, age 70, of Sandersville died on Saturday morning July 11, 2015, in the Georgia Regents Hospital in Augusta following a brief illness.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 14th in the Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sandersville.

Mr. Crapps was a native of Leesville, South Carolina, the son of the late Cline Edsel Crapps and the late Mary Lois Rickard Crapps. He was a retired sawmill owner and operator.

Survivors are his wife, Jean Fordham of Sandersville; a daughter, Sherrie Ann Hines of Palatka, FL; a son Timothy Lewis Crapps and his wife Julie of Coco, FL; a brother, Norman Allen Crapps and his wife Kris of Live Oak, FL; a sister, Mary Dobbs and her husband James of Cornelia; a stepson, Chris Byrd of east Dublin; five grandchildren; and a great grandson.

The family will be at the residence, 364 Archer Road in Sandersville.
