Violet Louise Bivins Altman

Mrs. Violet Louise Bivins Altman, age 78, of Milledgeville, formerly of Davisboro, died Tuesday morning July 21 at her residence.
Graveside funeral services will be held a t 2:00 P.M. Thursday July 23 at the White Oak Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dewey Henderson will officiate.

Mrs. Altman was a native of Fannin County, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Thomas Bivins and the late Gladys Bertha Sisson Bivins. She was the wife of the late George Washington Altman. Mrs. Altman was a homemaker and a member of the White Oak Methodist Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Jean Altman Holton of Milledgeville and Barbara Anne Altman Amerson of Union Point, two sisters, Mildred Alverson of Greenville, Ky. and Joyce Bivins of Phoenix, Ar., two brothers, Roy Bivins and Raymond Bivins both of Blue Ridge, three grandchildren, David Carr, Julie Carr and Pam Amerson, two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann-Louise Amerson and Dane Ellis Amerson.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
