William Ware Dixon

Mr. William Ware Dixon, age 76, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, died on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 11, at Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Sandersville. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mr. Dixon was a native of Glascock County, Georgia, the son of the late Euree "Buck" Dixon and the late Lizzie Mae McDonald Dixon. He was a graduate of Sandersville High School and attended Georgia State University. He had resided in Stone Mountain for many years. Mr. Dixon was a retired bus driver for MARTA in Atlanta and was a licensed real estate agent. He was a member of the Ridgeland Heights Baptist Church. He served in the Georgia National Guard.

Survivors are: his wife, Margaret A. Dixon of Stone Mountain; three sons, William Michael Dixon and his wife Cyndi of Benton, Kansas, James Edward Dixon of Stone Mountain and Johnathan Earl Dixon and his wife Kristen Nicolosi of Suwanee; two grandchildren, Abigail Dixon and Ryan Canale; great grandson, Bennett Canale; sister, Debra Dixon Helton and her husband Dean of Sandersville; and brother, C. Joe Dixon and his wife Peggy of North Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.
