William Eddie Helton

Mr. William Eddie Helton, age 103, of 116 5th Street in Tennille, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Washington County Extended Care Facility. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26th at 11:00am at the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Rev. Lamar Brantley, Fred Morrison and Charles Price will officiate. Pallbearers will be Randy Helton, Dean Helton, David Lewis, Andy Lewis, Drayton Lewis, Brandon Morrison, Carl Wright, Larry Helton and Jay Jackson.

Mr. Helton was born in Johnson County the son of the late John David Helton and the late Mary Estelle Martha Lamp Helton. He was retired from the Washington Manufacturing Company and was a life long farmer. Mr. Helton was a charter member of the Faith Baptist Church and was a current member of the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Helton is survived by his brother Edgar Helton of Tennille and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home, 1119 Riddleville Road, Sandersville.
