William Harvey Smith

William Harvey Smith, age 57, of Sandersville, passed away suddenly in Savannah, Georgia on Friday, April 10, 2026. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, April 17th at 1:00 p.m. in Zeta Cemetery, Tennille Georgia. Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate.

William, known as “Bodilly”, was born in Augusta and reared in Sandersville, where he attended Washington County public schools. He worked his entire life as a self-employed carpenter. Bodilly possessed a love of fishing and riding motorcycles. He is predeceased by his parents Milton Harvey Smith and Brenda Hurt Fout.

Survivors include his daughters, Ashton Smith and her fiancé Steven of Sandersville and Cherokee Smith and her fiancé Johnny Evans of Wrightsville; his step-daughter, Monica Spillers of Statesboro; grandchildren, Brandon Swenor, Alexander Swenor, Jaycee Smith, Skylar Smith, Zoey Swenor, Matteo Villegas, Evie Villegas and Thiago Villegas and siblings, Eric Smith and his wife Jennifer and Belinda Smith; step-dad, Ronald Fout, and many nieces and nephews.
