William "Mitch" Mitchell

Mr. William “Mitch” Mitchell, age 59 of Warthen passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Mitchell was born September 3, 1963, in Smyrna, Georgia, the son of the late William C. Mitchell, Jr. and the late Janet Kelly Jones. Mitch was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent the last 10 years traveling and training competitive retrievers with his wife.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Elaine Hyatt Mitchell; son, Chris Mitchell (Jamie Garrett) of Davisboro; brother, Charles McRoy Mitchell (Dawn) of Villa Rica; mother-in-law, Ruth Hyatt of Warthen; brother-in-law, Charles Hyatt (Kay) of Lithia Springs; and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Hunting Retriever Club Foundation, Inc. 14980 Durkee Road, Harvard, IL 60033.
