William Kendall Parker

Mr. William Kendall Parker, age 64 of Dublin, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. Reverend David Oliver will officiate.

Mr. Parker was a native of Wrightsville and a 1977 graduate of Johnson County High School. He spent his working career as an insurance agent for Cotton States and Farm Bureau. Mr. Parker also possessed his Series 6, which allowed him to be a financial advisor and consultant. He also worked for SunTrust Bank on Bull Street in Savannah. In his spare time Mr. Parker enjoyed collecting and shooting guns. His career as an insurance agent and financial advisor meant that he moved from time to time, and he was always a member of the Rotary Club in whatever town his career led him to. Mr. Parker is preceded in death by his father, Charles David “Ramp” Parker, and grandparents, Ben Parker, Sr., Madge Prescott Parker, Lannie R. Lynn, and Annie Laura Lynn.

Mr. Parker is survived by his son, William Kendall Parker, II of Dublin; mother, Jackie Lynn Parker of Hilton Head Island; sister, Shelia Parker Youmans, and her husband Kim, also of Hilton Head Island; and many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Mr. Parker’s memory to the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Home, Herrington Homestead, 8109 GA-297, Nunez Ga, 30448.
