Mr. William Hartford Wiles, Sr., age 90, of Sandersville died Friday night May 14 in the extended Care Facility following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday May 17 in the Sisters Baptist Church with burial in the Sisters Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Wiles and Rev. Bert Parker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Wiles, John Wiles III, Jerry Andrews, Emory Roberts, Jeff Alligood and Julian Jones.
Mr. Wiles was a native of Pike County, Georgia, the son of the late John Morgan Wiles and the late Mary Inez Pitts Wiles. He was predeceased by his wife, Henrietta Jones Wiles, his son, William H. Wiles, Jr., and a granddaughter, Sheila Renee Wiles. Mr. Wiles was a office manager and bookkeeper for Washington Regional Medical Center for over twenty years and was a tax preparer. He was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church.
Survivors are his children, John Morgan Wiles II and his wife, Joann of Sandersville, Mary B. Wiles Thompson of Oxford, Massachusetts, Marjorie Wiles Frazier and her husband Johnny of Brooklet, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday.
