William Dean Trussell

Mr. Dean Trussell, age 81, of East Church Street, Sandersville, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 following an extended illness. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Sisters Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Jason Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.

William Dean Trussell was born on March 2, 1941 to the late James Roy Trussell and the late Jessie Mae Mills Trussell. He graduated from Sandersville High School and attended business school in Augusta where he secured a job working for the Central Georgia Railroad. He soon accepted a position with the Sandersville Railroad where he worked until his retirement. Dean was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church where he formerly sang in the church choir and also in a Trussell family quartet. He loved to hunt and fish early in life. In addition to his parents, Dean is also predeceased by his wife, Sara Anne Roberson Trussell.

Survivors are his sons, Troy Trussell and his wife Denise of Milledgeville and Eric Trussell of Sandersville; and grandchildren, Nicholas Dean Trussell and Christopher James Trussell; and a sister, Blanche T. McDonald of Warthen.
