Mrs. Willie Pearl Frost Dillard, age 92, of Sandersville, died Monday, December 29, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sandersville with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Reverend Lee Lacy and Reverend Marlon Lastinger will officiate. Pallbearers will be Eddie Warren, Derek Boatwright, Jimmy Dillard, Forrest Price, Bill Waller, and Charles Jordan.
Mrs. Dillard was a lifelong native of Washington County the daughter of the late James Alexander Frost and the late Sallie Harrison Frost. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served in many positions even before the church was built in its present location. She was a member of the L.L.L. Sunday School Class and the Joy Club. Mrs. Dillard is predeceased by her husband, George Bascom “Bap” Dillard Jr., her sister, Florence Dilley and brothers, Thomas Frost, Arlie Frost and J.W. Frost.
Survivors include; her children, Mike Dillard and his wife Paula of Milledgeville, Lynn D. Lee and her husband Barry of Buford and Mitzi D. Chambers and her husband Jeff of Milledgeville, four grandchildren, Crystal Lee Brennan and her husband Mike of Cumming, April Lee Gibson and her husband Ben of Buford, Hannah Chambers and Sydney Chambers both of Milledgeville and a step grandson, Cameron Chambers of Conyers.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
