Wren Joiner Brantley

Mrs. Wren Joiner Brantley, age 95, of Tennille died on Wednesday July 13 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday July 16 in the May and Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sandersville. Burial will be private in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Paul Melton will officiate.

Mrs. Brantley was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Leslie Virgil Joiner and the late Ruth Eugenia Wren Joiner. She was the wife of the late Stanley H. Brantley. Mrs. Brantley was a retired teller for George D. Warthen Bank with over 46 years of service. She was a secretary for M. D. Hammock Oil Company for over 20 years. She had been a member of the Tennille Christian Church and was currently an active member of the Ohoopee Baptist Church.

Survivors are her nieces and nephews, Eugenia Shi Mullis and her husband Ron of Tucker, Diane Brower of Talmo, GA, Tommy Ludington and his wife Linda of Titusville, FL, Mary Jane Hartenstine and her husband Mike of Sarasota, FL, and Wren Gay Joiner of South Carolina. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and many special friends.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. on Saturday until the hour of service.

The family suggests donations be made to the Ohoopee Baptist Church, P. O. Box 313, Tennille, Ga. 31089 or the Tennille Christian Church, P. O. Box 265, Tennille, Ga. 31089.
