Mr. Wylie Watson Bloodworth, age 74, of 118 South Brown Street in Oconee died Wednesday August 26 in the Medical Center in Macon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 29 in the Chapel of May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville with burial in the Bay Springs Cemetery in Oconee. The Rev. Mickey Umbehant and Rev. Max Newham will officiate. Pallbearers will be Doyle Smith, Danny Anderson, Durwood Johnson, Delma Godfrey, J. B. Christopher, Andy Brantley, Helton Johnson and Emory Johnson.

Mr. Bloodworth was a native of Wilkinson County, the son of the late John William Bloodworth and the late Fronis Nadine Gray Bloodworth. He was the husband of the late LaVerne Salter Bloodworth. He had resided in Oconee for many years. Mr. Bloodworth was a welder and iron worker and was a retired diesel mechanic for Engelhard Kaolin Company. He was a former army paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. Mr. Bloodworth was a member of the Oconee Church of God. He was predeceased by two sisters, Emma Mae Cherry and Margaret Irene Bloodworth and two brothers, Lucian Clinton Bloodworth and Randall Bloodworth.

Survivors are two daughters, Wylene Bloodworth of Oconee and Marcia B. Henry and her husband Tim of Milledgeville, three grandchildren, Morgan Henry, Roman Henry and London Henry, a sister, Linda Ovita Avery of Leslie, two brothers, John Bernard(Sybil) Bloodworth of Milledgeville and David (Bonnie) Bloodworth of Belton, S.C. and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday.
