Mr. Wyman T. West, age 75, of Sandersville died Sunday morning, May 26, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 28th, in the Sisters Baptist Church with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Rev. M. D. Cabe and Rev. Jimmy Casey will officiate.

Mr. West was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late T. Y. West and the late Beulah Powell West.

Mr. West began his career with the Production Credit Association in Sandersville and was with the Federal Land Bank in Louisville for over thirty years serving as the President. He retired as the Senior Vice President of the Farm Credit Association in Dublin, now known as Ag. First of Georgia. Mr. West had served as the pianist for the New Bethel Singers gospel group. He served on the Board of Directors for the Unicoi Springs Camp Resort and was the Treasurer for nine and a half years. He was a former Board member of Brentwood School and a former member and President of the Sandersville Lions Club. Mr. West was a former member of the Georgia National Guard. He was a member and Deacon of the Sisters Baptist Church and a teacher of the Silent Seekers Sunday School Class.

Survivors are: his wife, Jeanne Lacy West of Sandersville; a daughter, Vicki West Frost and her husband Daryl of Sandersville; a grandson, Jordan West Frost and a granddaughter, Lacy Faith Frost both of Sandersville; a sister, Linda West Mayhew and her husband Chris of Tennille; and a niece, Denisa Brantley of Riddleville.

The family suggests that donations be made to the Brentwood School, P. O. Box 955, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Monday.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
