Wynelle Warren Brantley went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 26, 2026. Wynelle was the daughter of the late Luke and Eleanor Warren. She was born and raised in Tennille Georgia and remained in Washington County her entire life.
Wynelle was a 1956 graduate of Tennille High School. After graduation, she went to Georgia Teachers College but returned to the county to marry and raise her family in Harrison. Georgia. In the early 1970’s, she transitioned from being a mother and housewife to a career with the Washington County Service Center. It was also during this time that she moved back to Tennille. She would remain with the Service Center until her retirement.
Always having been a woman of strong Christian Faith In returning to Tennille, she also returned to her home church Tennille Baptist. She remained a member there until her passing. Wynelle served as the Sunday School Teacher for the Beginner and Primary Department for many, many years. She was also the Girls in Action leader during this time. She became an active member of adult Sunday, the Women’s Missionary Union, and the Chancel Choir. Wynelle loved being involved and remained so until her health prevented her from attending.
In 2020, Wynelle was no longer able to live at home and became a resident of Heritage Inn Sandersville Georgia. Although she was no longer able to attend church, this did not prevent her from studying her Bible daily and leading Bible Studies with her fellow residents. The staff always asked her to offer the prayer or blessing at events held there.
In addition to her parents, Wynelle is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Julie Brantley. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Stanley (Mark) of Sandersville, and her sons Warren and Wallace Brantley of Tennille, her grandchildren Heather Veal (Jeff) of Sandersville, Andrea Poole (Chris) and Stephen Brantley of Tennille. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kaylee Veal (Ta) of Milledgeville, Anna Veal of Sandersville, Ciara Turner, Ricki, Faith, Jacob, Issac, and Isaiah Watts all of Tennille,
Warren Brantley and Bowen Anne Brantley of Metter and one great-great grandson Adonnis Turner of Tennille, her sister Kathryn Warren Crawford of Amelia Island FL, and her brother and sister-in-law Robbie and Hazel Warren of Maggie Valley, NC. Wynelle also had three very special nephews, Keith Crawford of Amelia Island, Mike Warren of Tennille, and Chris Warren of Hilton Head Island. She was also predeceased by her faithful friend Curt Parsons.
Wynelle’s service will be held at First Church of the Nazarene of Sandersville on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM with burial following in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille, Georgia. Reverends Mark Jones and Danny Thomas and Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Veal, Keith Crawford, Devonta Hampton, Mike Warren, David Hooks, and Chris Poole. The family will greet friends on Monday April 27 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
