Zachery Lee Wright, age 31 of Urquhart Lane in Sandersville passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at his residence. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen with burial in the cemetery of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Linton. Reverend Bryce Jeffcoat, Reverend Tim Powell, and Reverend Albert Fields will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Wright, Jed May, Benjie Tarbutton, Zachary Kittle, Nic Bocanegra, Josh Barefield, Marty Cullen, Matt Haynes, Tony Price, Spencer Adams, Doug Sims, and Cody Stagner. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Zachery was born “a little early” on March 24, 1994, the son of Phil and Karen Wright. He was a 2012 graduate of Washington County High School. After graduation Zachery served his country in the United States Air Force, serving a deployment in Qatar, a tour at Osan AFB, South Korea, and being stationed at Dyess AFB, TX and Shaw AFB in South Carolina. He enjoyed hunting and singing. Zachery was especially gifted with being able to love people, especially the elderly. He was a selfless individual, who was always willing to help others in any way possible. Zachery possessed a passion for doing quality work, and once he was able to envision a creation, he would work until the vision came to life. He was a tough individual who loved deeply. Zachery was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he was saved at a young age. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Stephens and Carl and Marjorie Wright.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Emily and Olivia Wright; brother, Philip Lee Wright and his wife Lisa of England; sister, Megan Wright Swint and her husband Austin of Sandersville, GA; Grandmother, Sutilla Stephens; great aunt, Jeanene Vinson of Milledgeville; loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephew, cousins and friends.

The family suggests donations be made in Zachery’s memory to Bethlehem Baptist Church, c/o Teresa Jackson, 752 Archer Road, Sandersville, GA 31082.
