Jeffery Smith

Funeral Director/Embalmer

Jeffery is a life long resident of Sandersville with exception of years spent in college. He is a graduate of Valdosta State University and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Jeffery has worked in funeral service since the age of 17 starting with Lang's Chapel in Sandersville while in High School. He then worked for Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta while in College and Parkway Garden Chapel in Forest Park while in Mortuary College. Jeffery is married to Kelli Freeman Smith of Jesup. They have three daughters, Victoria, Alexis and Mary Thomas. Jeffery is an active member of Sandersville United Methodist Church, the Sandersville Rotary Club and currently serves as Sandersville's Mayor Pro-Tem

E.K. May

Funeral Director/Embalmer

E.K. is a native and life long resident of Washington County. He is a graduate of Middle Georgia College and the Cincinnatie College of Morturary Science in 1968. E.K. started working for area funeral homes at the age of 15 and has been licensed as a funeral director and embalmer since 1968. E.K. is a Army veteran serving with the 196th light infantry brigade in Viet Nam and in the U.S. Morturary in Viet Nam as an identification specialist and embalmer. He is married to Deborah M. May and they have two children Kathryn May McAteer(Wes)and Daniel May and they also have two grandchildren Kate and Hunt McAteer E.K. is a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church, the Twin City Country Club, the Tennille Masonic Lodge, the Tennille Rotary Club, the Al Shiah Shrine Temple, the Scottish Rite Bodies, the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, the Washington County Historical Society and the Community Concert Association. E.K. is also a former EMT and served as Washington County Emergency Management Director for 19 years. He was the executive director for the Tennille Housing Authority for 13 years. He has served as Washington County Coroner since 1992.

B. Weston Williford

Funeral Director/Embalmer

Weston, has been with May and Smith since September 2017. He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, and has served as Pastor of Student and Family Ministries at Kendall Heights Church of God, Sandersville, GA since 2011. He holds a B.S. in Christian Ministry from Lee University (2011) and a M. Div. in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (2015). He and his wife Erica have been married since 2010 and have three children, Jamin, Annsley, and Jaxon. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and 2020 Honor Graduate of Ogeechee Technical College with an Associates Degree in Funeral Service Education.

Deborah May

Funeral Director

Debby was born in Agana, Guam and grew as a US Marine Corps Brat. She lived from Georgia to the West Coast, to Florida to Washington DC. She is a graduate of Middle Georgia College. Debby is a member of Tennille UMC, Tennille Fine Arts Club, Washington County Concert Association, Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Zeta Cemetery Trust, and the Washington County Historical Society. Debby has been a licensed Funeral Director by the State of Georgia since 1978 and is a certified Public Manager with the Georgia Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Kelli Smith

Financial Administrator

Kelli grew up in Jesup Georgia. She is a graduate of Valdosta State University and Georgia State College and University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in early childhood education. Kelli began working as an educator at Brentwood School in 1995 where she remains today as a pre-kindergarten teacher. She is married to Jeffery Smith and they have three daughters, Victoria, Alexis and Mary Thomas. Kelli has been handling the accounting responsibilities of the funeral home since 2014. She is an active member of Sandersville United Methodist Church and the Transylvania Club.

Terry began work with May and Smith in 2007 after retiring as a business owner in Tennille.

Terry is married to Nona Todd. When not playing granddad, Terry loves to go fishing and travel with Nona.
